Respondents PRAYER: Writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records of the respondents culminating in the 2nd respondent's order - Endorsement - ref.no.Rc.No.141788/Rect.II(1)/2016, dated 27.04.2017, rejecting the petitioner's representation seeking conversion for being posted as S.I.Police (Taluk Police), quash the same and direct the respondents to grant conversion to the petitioner for being posted as S.I.Police (Taluk Police) within a stipulated time frame that may be fixed by this Hon'ble Court. ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to call for the records of the respondents culminating in the 2nd respondent's order - Endorsement - ref.no.Rc.No.141788/Rect.II(1)/2016, dated 27.04.2017, rejecting the petitioner's representation seeking conversion for being posted as S.I.Police (Taluk Police), quash the same and direct the respondents to grant conversion to the petitioner for being posted as S.I.Police (Taluk Police). 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner represents that he has given up Vakalat for the petitioner and he informed the petitioner about the same vide letter dated 23.02.2024.

3.The learned Additional Advocate General assisted by the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submit that the relief sought for in this writ petition has been considered by this Court in W.P.No.1167 of 2020 by an order dated 23.07.2021 filed by the same petitioner, against the said order, State of Tamil Nadu preferred a writ appeal in W.A.No.1434 of 2022 and the same was dismissed by this Court on 16.11.2023.

4.He further submits that in compliance of the order in W.P.No.1167 of 2020, the respondents have issued proceedings in G.O.(4D).No.47, Home (Police-III) Department, dated 16.08.2024 in favour of the petitioner. He further contends that in view of the issuance of this G.O., no further adjudication is required in this present writ petition. The copy of the said G.O. is placed on record.

5.Considering the submission of the learned Additional Advocate General and on perusal of the G.O.(4D).No.47, Home (Police-III) Department, dated 16.08.2024, in our view, no further adjudication is required in this writ petition. Accordingly, this writ petition is closed.
