ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) This petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioners' representation dated 16.02.2026 to temporarily unseal the shops of the petitioners to shift their belongings and materials.
2. Learned Standing Counsel for respondents 1 to 3, on instructions, submitted that the Corporation is ready to permit the petitioners to open their shops for three days to enable them to remove their belongings.
3. In view of the aforesaid submission of learned Standing Counsel, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Chennai Corporation to open the shops of the petitioners for a period of three days to enable the petitioners to remove the materials lying inside the shop. Thereafter, the authorities shall re-seal the shops.
4. With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. There will be no order as to costs. WMP No.15014 of 2026 filed to permit the petitioners to file a single writ petition is allowed, subject to payment of separate Court fees.
