O R D E R
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent herein to complete the Investigation and file a final report in respect of Crime No.134 of 2022.
2. Mr.AR.L.Sundaresan, learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the respondent police has registered a case in Crime No.134 of 2022, no final report has been filed till date and that the petitioner had given additional information on 07.06.2022 to the respondent. He would further submit that the respondents may be directed to file the final report within a period of two months, after considering all the materials including the additional information given by the petitioner.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent would submit that, based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the respondent police has registered the FIR in Crime No.134 of 2022, in which, investigation is under progress. Hence, he seeks one month time to file a final 2/4
report before the Jurisdictional Magistrate Court.
4. Recording the same, the respondent police is directed to file the final report before the concerned Jurisdictional Magistrate Court, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order under due intimation to the defacto complainant. It is needless to say that the respondent shall consider the First Information Report and as the additional information furnished by the petitioner during investigation.
5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed. No costs.
