O R D E R

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is engaged in the trading of plastic bags, sheets and pacakaging materials under the name and style of "Mahaveer Sales Corporation" and running his office at Door No.19, Dr.Radhakrishnan Salai, Vivekanand Nagar, Chennai 600118 and the respondents / Corporation of Chennai has granted license u/s.287

of the Chennai City Municipal Corporation Act, 1919, to run the said business and prior to the expiry of the license on 31.03.2016, the petitioner has submitted necessary application for renewal of license and since no orders have been passed, the petitioner is constrained to approach this Court by way of filing this writ petition.

It is the further submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner that since the landlords, namely, Tmt. R.Vijayakumari, R.Rajameena and R.Rajkumar, tried to dispossess the petitioner without following due process of law, the petitioner filed a suit in OS.No.4861/2015 on the file of the learned XI Assistant Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai, and obtained an interim order dated 03.09.2015 in IA.No.12468/2015 and ultimately, the suit came to be decreed and in the light of the said fact, the petitioner prays for appropriate orders. Heard the submissions of Mr.A.Nagarajan, learned Counsel who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. This Court, without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, directs the 1st respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's renewal application dated 18.03.

2016 on merits and in accordance with law, after putting on notice, the landladies, viz., R.Vijayakumari and R.Rajameena and R.Rajkumar and pass orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as to the said persons, viz., Mrs.R.Vijayakumari and Mrs.R.Rajameena and Mr.R.Rajkumar.

The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
