By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 2.

The petitioner and another person, viz., S.Kannan, preferred an appeal under the provisions of the Tamilnadu Occupants of Kudiyiruppu [Conferment of Ownership] Act, 1971, to the 1st respondent and the 1st respondent, in turn, sent a notice in Na.Ka.No.5076/A4/2012 dated 07.09.2013, calling upon the petitioner to appear in person on 26.09.2013 at 11.00 a.m. The petitioner has also appeared on that day and submitted relevant documents. However, no orders have been passed. In this regard, the petitioner has sent a reminder dated 21.05.2015 and for that also, no response is forthcoming and hence, the petitioner is constrained to approach this Court by filing the present this writ petition. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Heard the submissions of Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2.

This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the petitioner's reminder dated 21.05.2015, directs the respondents to consider and dispose of the petitioner's appeal as well as the reminder dated 21.05.2015 in accordance with law, after putting on notice the persons concerned and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner as well as to the persons concerned.
