Respondent PRAYER: This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to pay the petitioner interest at the rate of 18 percentage per annum for the period of delay from 01.06.18 to 24.09.19 in paying the amounts paid towards his terminal benefits namely EPF Employee's Contribution, Gratuity and Encashment of Leaves.

The writ petition has been filed in the nature of a mandamus seeking interest for the delayed payment on terminal benefits including EPF, Employee's Contribution, Gratuity and Encashment of Leaves. 1/3

2.Heard the learned counsel for the respondent. 3.The respondent may examine the service register of the petitioners and examine whether the aforementioned amounts had been paid with delay and if paid with delay, pay interest at 6% per annum from the date of retirement till the date of actual disbursement. This exercise should be completed within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.The writ petition stands disposed of.
