By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 2.

The petitioner/College is run by an Educational Trust with an object of providing quality education to the down-trodden, poor students of Tiruvannamalai District and it made an application to the Southern Regional Committee of National Council for Teacher Education [NCTE] for grant of recognition for B.Ed course in the name of the petitioner/Institution and vide proceedings dated 13.11.2006, recognition was granted to start the B.Ed course with an annual intake of 100 students. The petitioner/College, after getting recognition from NCTE, applied to the respondent / University for affiliation and the affiliation was also granted vide proceedings dated 01.04.2007.

The petitioner would state that it is conducting the B.Ed course for the past 7 years and it has necessary infrastructure facilities and satisfied all norms and requirements to start a new course, viz., M.Ed., and for that purpose they require No Objection Certificate from the affiliated body, viz., the 2nd respondent. The petitioner, in this regard, has submitted an application for grant of No Objection Certificate after inspection by the respondent and the same was also acknowledged on 21.05.2015 and since no orders have been passed, the petitioner has filed this writ petition to dispose of the said application within a stipulated time frame. 4.

Heard the submission of Mr.R.Kannan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.U.Venkatesan, learned Standing Counsel, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

This Court, without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application/representation dated 21.05.2015 in accordance with law and pass orders on the same on or before 29.06.2015 and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner.
