Prayer: Writ Petition filed Under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified to call for the records on the file of the respondents relating to the Gazette dated 29.05.2015 issued under part II Section 2 by the first respondent under Subsection (1) in G.O.Ms.No.118, Industries (SIPCOT-LA) , under section 3(1) Tamil Nadu Acquisition of Land for Industrial Purposes Act 1997 (TN Act 10 of 1999) passed by the respondent pertaining to the acquisition of lands belonging to the petitioner in Survey Number 481, Plot No.5, measuring an extent of 2480 Sq.ft, Mannur Village in Kathick Nager have been acquired by the first respondent for Mannur Valarpuram Nemili Scheme, SIPCOT in Sriperumbudur, Kancheepuram District and to quash the same.

O R D E R

The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the writ petitioner made a submission that the Land Acquisition proceedings initiated under the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Acquisition of Land for Industrial Purposes Act, 1997 is under challenge in this writ petition.

2.When, the matter is taken up for hearing, it is brought to the notice of this Court that the Government has issued notification dropping the proposal for the Land Acquisition in the Indian Express, Chennai Edition, dated 16.03.2018, in Sl.No.109. In view of the fact that the land Acquisition proceedings is dropped, thus, no further adjudication needs to be undertaken in this writ petition.

3.Accordingly, the writ petition stands closed. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
