2. Mr.E.Raj Thilak, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, accepts notice for the respondent and submits that no other separate appeal has been preferred by the appellant before us.

3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the nature of the matter, we accept the reason for delay i.e., that the petitioner was unable to contact his relatives to file an appeal as he is in prison right from his conviction. We also notice that the delay sought to be condoned is 713 days.
