This petition has been filed to direct the respondent to register FIR on the petitioner's complaint.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner; learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents and erused the materials placed on record.

3. It is seen that this petitioner lodged a complaint before the learned Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai who has forwarded the same by order dated 29.12.2014 to the Deputy Commissioner, Central Crime Branch, Chennai. Though the respondent police have received the complaint from the Court as early as January 2015, no action seems to have been taken. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. On perusal of the complaint, it discloses commission of cognizable offence. Hence, this Court directs the respondent to register a regular FIR and take action in accordance with law, as laid down by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Lalita Kumari Vs. Government of Uttarpradesh and Others reported in [2014] 2 SCC 1.
