PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 4 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.11.2024 in accordance with law and to pass orders.

Seeking directions to the respondents to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner on 18.11.2024 and pass orders, the present writ petition is filed.

2. Mr.M.Shajakhan, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents 1,3,and 4.

3. Dr.T.Seenivasan, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the 2 nd respondent.

4. By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

5. The Petitioner states that he is residing near a multi-storey apartment, and is facing serious health hazards due to the continuous dumping of waste and stagnation of sewage water in the residential area. The petitioner made several representations and personal visits to the concerned authorities, including the Commissioner, Health Inspector, and Panchayat President, but no action was taken. The situation worsened with the onset of rains, increasing the risk of mosquito breeding and disease. The Petitioner therefore submitted a representation to the respondents on 18.11.2024, since no action was taken by the respondents, the petitioner filed the present writ petition, seeking directions to the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation.

Though many grounds were raised in support of the writ petition, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if, this Court issues directions to the 4 th respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.11.2024, and pass orders within a time frame as fixed Page No.3 of 5

by this Court.

7. In view of the above facts and considering the limited relief sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, without going into the merits of the case, I direct the 4 th respondent, to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner on 18.11.2024, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

8. With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
