O R D E R

The above Petition is filed to withdraw and transfer the FCOP No.96 of 2023, pending on the file of the Family Court, Vellore, to the Family Court, Chennai.

2. Reasons for seeking the transfer are as follows:- (i) The petitioner/wife is not being maintained by the respondent/husband.

(ii) The petitioner/wife is now residing at Avadi, Chennai. (iii) It would be very difficult for the petitioner/wife to travel all the way from Adavi, Chennai to the District Family Court at Vellore to attend the hearing of the case, as the distance between the two places is considerable.

3. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

4. In the above circumstances the request for transfer appears reasonable and justified. Though the above petition is filed to transfer the FCOP to Family Court at Chennai, however, taking into account the fact that the petitioner herself has stated that she is residing at 2/4

Avadi, which comes under the jurisdiction of the Sub Court at Poonamallee, the Transfer Civil Miscellaneous Petition is disposed of and FCOP.No.96 of 2023 pending on the file of Family Court, Vellore, is withdrawn and transferred to the file of the Sub Court at Poonamallee. The presence of the respondent/husband before the Sub Court at Poonamallee is dispensed with on all hearings except for adducing evidence and for counseling. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
