Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to protect and maintain the temporary mud bridge laid and provided by the 1/4

Government on the eastern side of the backwater inlet in Chinna Veerampattinam to use the same as the only access from her lands and houses bearing R.S.No.165/5 in Chinna Veerampattinam Village, Puducherry to the main land without any damage or disturbance till the Government repairs and restores the main Bridge constructed by it in the Iyyanar Koil Road across the same backwater inlet to use the same as access from her lands and houses to the main land. ORDER

The petitioner has filed the writ petition seeking for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents from causing any disturbance or damage to the temporary mud bridge laid down by the Government to have ingress and egress to her land and house bearing R.S.No.165/5 situated in Chinna Veerampattinam Village, Puducherry till the said bridge is restored and repaired by the Government.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing learned Additional Government Pleader, Puducherry submitted that an alternative mud 2/4

bridge has been provided to the petitioner to access her land and property and the same will not be distrubed by the respondents. Hence, no further adjudication is necessary in this petition.

3. Recording the submission made by learned Additional Government Pleader, Puducherry appearing on behalf of the respondents, that an alternative mud bridge has been provided to the petitioner and also that the respondents will not cause any hindrance to the said bridge from obstructing the petitioner to have ingress and egress to her property, no further orders is necessary and accordingly, this writ petition is closed.
