Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents authority to remove the encroachment made by the sixth respondent in the light of G.O.Ms.No.540 of 2014, dated 04.12.2014 after conducting proper enquiry on the representation dated 10.03.2023 made by the petitioner.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was delivered by The Hon'ble Acting Chief Justice) The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the official respondents to remove the encroachment made by the sixth respondent in the light of G.O.Ms.No.540 of 2014, dated 04.12.2014, based on his representation dated 10.03.2023.

2. When the matter is taken up, Mr.J.Ravindran, learned Additional Advocate General, assisted by Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader, for the respondents 1 to 5, accepting notice for the official respondents, sought for six weeks' time to pass orders on the representation dated 10.03.2023 of the petitioner in accordance with law.

3. As the prayer sought for in this writ petition is a narrow one, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the official respondents to consider the representation dated 10.03.2023 of the petitioner and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
