PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to waive rent, interest and penalty for the month of June, July, August, September when the member of the petitioner Association were forced to close down their shops in the bus stand Commercial Complexes belongings to Coimbatore Corporation due to corona virus lock down.

This Writ Petition has been filed by the Association for a direction, directing the respondents to waive rent, interest and penalty for the month of June, July, August, September when the member of the petitioner Association were forced to close down their shops in the bus stand Commercial Complexes belongings to Coimbatore Corporation due to corona virus lock down.

2. While pending Writ Petition, on request made by so many shops, a Government Order came to be passed in G.O.(D).No. 337, Municipal Administration and Water Supply (MA.IV) Department on 16.06.2023 to waive the rent for certain period. However, this Writ Petition has been filed an Association. If at all any grievance of any individual, they can very well seek waiver before the Government. Therefore, this Writ Petition itself is not maintainable.
