ORDER
This petition has been filed to to call for the Records and quash the DVC No.4/2014 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate-II, Tindivanam.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.
3. Srividhya got married to Hemachandra Kumar on 27.05.2012 and thereafter their marriage ran into rough weather, and they got estranged. Srividhya has filed DVC 4 of 2014 before the Judicial Magistrate-II, Tindivanam, under the Domestic Violence Act against Hemachandra kumar and his family members, for quashing which the latter is before this Court, on the ground that the parties have arrived at a compromise.
4. Today Srividhya/defacto complainant and the petitioners are present before this Court. The original joint memorandum of compromise dated 24.08.2016 has been filed in Crl.O.P.No.20527 of 2016 and a photocopy of the same is filed https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
in this petition.
5. Under the terms of compromise, Srividhya has to be paid a sum of Rs.8 lakhs, of which Rs.5 lakhs has already been paid by way of Demand Draft bearing.
6. In the light of the above, this petition is allowed and the proceedings in DVC 4 of 2014 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate-II, Tindivanam is hereby quashed.
