PRAYER : Criminal Miscellaneous Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to extend the time granted by this Court in Crl.M.P.No.4330 of 2020 in H.C.P.No.1020 of 2020 dated 30.06.2020 by a further period of thirty days from 16.07.2020 to 15.08.2020.

(Order of the Court was made by N.KIRUBAKARAN.J.,) The matter is heard through "Video Conferencing". 2.Heard Mr.A.P.Sathyamoorthy, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mrs.M.Prabhavathi, learned Additional Pubic Prosecutor. 3.Taking into consideration the fact that the extension has already been granted 2/4

twice and the convict has to surrender on 16.07.2020, this Court is inclined to extend the leave already granted for a further period of five days, with escort. Accordingly, leave already extended to the convict on 30.06.2020 is further extended for a period of five days, i.e., till 21.07.2020 and the convict shall return back to the prison on 21.07.2020 at 5.00 p.m. The convict shall comply with the earlier conditions imposed by this Court on 26.06.2020 till 21.07.2020. The Jail authorities, during the said period, shall provide proper escort to the convict, in order to ensure his safety and security. They shall also impose suitable conditions to that effect and the convict should also abide by the conditions to be imposed by the authorities concerned. Accordingly, this petition is ordered.
