Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 24.04.2017 sympathetically which was duly recommended and forward by the first respondent vide proceedings No.6175/A1/2017 dated 27.04.2017 and provide a job under compassionate ground to the petitioner within time frame fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

O R D E R

Mr.T.M.Pappiah, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents and with consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 24.04.2017 sympathetically, which was duly recommended and forward by the first respondent, vide proceedings

No.6175/A1/2017 dated 27.04.2017 and provide a job under compassionate ground to the petitioner within time frame fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

3. The petitioner, who lost her husband on 07.12.2016, made an application to the first respondent on 24.04.2017, seeking for compassionate appointment.

4. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner's application was forwarded by the first respondent to the second respondent on 27.04.2017 and the same is kept pending.

5. It is needless to point out that whenever an application for compassionate appointment is made, the respondents are duty bound to pass appropriate orders expeditiously in one way or the other, instead of keeping it pending indefinitely.

6. In view of the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner to consider his representation dated 24.04.2017, which was forwarded by the first respondent to the second respondent on 27.04.2017, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.04.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. Accordingly, this Writ Petition shall stand disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
