This petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent not to harass the petitioner and his family members.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner; learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents and perused the materials placed on record.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that there were four cases against this petitioner and he is a history sheeted rowdy. Therefore, the Police is monitoring the history sheeted rowdy elements.

4. Under such circumstances, an order of not to harass cannot be granted. However, the respondent Police are entitled to maintain surveillance over the activities of the petitioner. Whenever the petitioner is called for enquiry, he shall not be harassed.
