ORDER
The petitioner apprehends arrest pursuant to the non bailable warrant issued on 09.10.2024 in S.T.C. No.428/2022 on the file of the District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate Court, Gudalur, for his absence on the date of judgment.
2. Admittedly the petitioner was found guilty for the offence punishable under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act and convicted under Section 255(2) of the Code of Civil Procedure and sentenced to undergo simple imprisonment for one year and to pay a fine of Rs.5,000/-.
3. This Court is of the view that Anticipatory Bail Petition would not lie and it is open to the petitioner to pursue other remedies in law. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 26.03.2025 bga 2/3
