Prayer:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner representation dated 10.08.2018 for transfer the petitioner from the Girls Higher Secondary School, Panapakkam, in Vellore District to Anakuzhi Government High School in Kanyakumari District.

Mrs.P.Kavitha, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

2. The case of the petitioner is that presently she is working as PG Assistant at Girls Higher Secondary School, Panapakkam, Vellore District, but she has filed a representation on 10.08.2018 to the second respondent for her transfer to Anakuzhi Government High School, Kanyakumari District, the same having not been considered, she has filed this writ petition seeking a writ of mandamus to direct the second respondent to consider her representation in a time bound manner.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, submits that since there is a vacancy in Anakuzhi Government High School, Kanyakumari District for the post of PG Assistant, her representation be considered.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents, however submits that since transfer counselling is already over, the representation shall be considered in the next year at the appropriate time.

5. In such premises, this Court disposes of this writ petition with the direction to the respondents to consider the representation and take a decision with regard to her inclusion in the transfer councelling in the appropriate time, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order and intimate the decision to the petitioner. However, the order should not be treated as a mandate of this Court to dispose of the representation in any particular manner inasmuch as this Court has not examined the merit of such representation. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
