This case came up for settlement before the Lok Adalat. M/s.Gopalan Associates and M.B.Raghavan, learned counsel for the appellant. After mutual discussion and negotiation between both parties they arrived at a compromise to settle the matter as follows: TERMS OF SETTLEMENT Both the parties voluntarily have come to the settlement before the Lok Adalat as follows :

(i) As against the award amount of Rs.9,10,070/- with further interest, the parties have agreed to settle for a sum of Rs.8,25,000/- as full quit; (ii) It is represented that 50% of the award amount has already been deposited which is lying to the credit of M.C.O.P in the Trial Court and the balance sum shall be deposited within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order;

(iii) Upon such deposit, the claimant(s) is / are entitled to withdraw the entire sum without any formal application and only upon verification of the identity.
