ORDER

The petitioner has filed the above writ petition seeking for a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by him on 15.7.2013 under the National Highways Act, 1956 against the proceedings of the second respondent dated 31.10.2011.

2. Mr.V.Subbiah,, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents and submitted that the first respondent may be directed to dispose of the appeal dated 15.07.2013 filed by the petitioner within the stipulated time.

3. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and also taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the first respondent to consider the appeal filed by the petitioner on 15.07.2013 under the National Highways Act, 1956, against the proceedings of the second respondent dated 31.10.2011, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
