This Original Petition coming on this day before this court for hearing the court made the following order: The petitioners seek issuance of Letters of Administration in respect of the property that stood in the name of the deceased P.Krishnasamy Pillai who died on 11.07.1978.
2. His wife Sampooranathammal also died on 21.12.1986. Therefore, on the death of P.Krishnasamy Pillai the property devolved on his only son Ranganathan. The said Ranganathan also died intestate on 08.08.1991. The petitioners being the children of Ranganathan seek Letters of Administration in respect of the said property.
3. The 1st petitioner has been examined as PW1 and he has filed the proof affidavit reiterating the facts set out in the petition. He has also produced the death certificates of P.Krishnasamy Pillai, Sampooranathammal and Ranganathan as Exs.P1 to P3. The legal heirship certificate of Ranganathan is produced as Ex.P4. The respondent who is the daughter of Ranganathan, though served has not appeared either in person or through counsel to object the grant of Letters of Administration.
4. Considering the above evidence, this Original Petition is allowed granting Letters of Administration in respect of the property mentioned in the schedule to the petition in favour of the petitioners. The petitioners shall execute a security bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) each in favour of the Assistant Registrar (O.S.II), High Court, Madras.
