ORDER

There is no representation for the petitioners. 2.This Criminal Original Petition is filed to quash the case in S.T.C.No.662 of 2019 pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Dindigul.

3.The allegations and the materials collected during the course of investigation indicates that despite restriction to conduct the Public Meeting beyond 22 hours, the petitioners herein had exceeded the time prescribed and the Meeting was concluded only after midnight. Hence, the charge is framed under Sections 143,145, 341, 188, 189, 353 of IPC. Though the occurrence took place in the year 2016 and final report has been filed immediately on 20.10.2016, the trial has not yet completed.

4. Taking note of the long pendency, the trial Court is directed to complete the trial, preferably, within a period of four months, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
