Respondents PRAYER: This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to renew the mini bus permits bearing vehicle Nos.TNY 7470, TNA 7756, TN50C 5464 upon considering the application of the petitioner dated 26.02.2022 for renewal of mini bus permits within the period that may be stipulated by this Court.

O R D E R

The petitioner seeks a direction to the second respondent to renew the mini bus permits in respect of the three vehicles, whose registration numbers are indicated in the petition.

2.The petitioner states that he is the owner of the above mentioned mini buses and that he inherited the same under the Will executed by his father. In spite of submitting an application seeking renewal, it is stated that no action has been taken thereon.

3.Mr.C.Jayaprakash, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. He states that there is a dispute inter se members of the petitioner's family, whereby there are rival claimants. Therefore, he states that an enquiry is on going and such enquiry would be concluded within two months.

4.In view of the said submissions, W.P.No.12471 of 2022 is disposed of by directing the second respondent to conclude the pending enquiry within two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order by passing a speaking order after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and the rival claimants. No costs. Connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
