ORDER

The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 25.10.2025 for the alleged offences under Section 310(2) of B.N.S in Cr. No.217 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused waylaid the car, which came from Bangalore to Chennai on 20.08.2025 at about 8.45 a.m., abducted the driver along with the car and robbed a sum of Rs.4.5 crores and hence the case.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent and he is under incarceration since 25.10.2025 . He would further submit that according to the prosecution, when a sum of Rs.4.5 crores was taken from Bangalore to Chennai, the petitioner along with other accused intercepted the car and robbed Rs.4.5 crores.

4. At this juncture, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that this is the third bail application and there is no change in circumstance. Apart from that, this petitioner has yet another previous case.

5. I have given anxious consideration to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side.

6. From the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate and upon the fact that the petitioner has yet another previous case of similar nature, if the petitioner is enlarged on bail, there is every possibility of absconding and

apart from that, there is no change in circumstance from the dismissal of the earlier application filed by the petitioner on 02.01.2026, this Court is not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail.

7. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 30-03-2026 MJS Note:
