Respondent Petition filed under Article 226 of The Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent herein to survey the land and issue patta in respect of petitioner's property of an extent of 4524 sq. feet of house site with a building thereon comprised in Grama Natham Survey No.57/1, Putheri Village, Thittakudi Taluk, Cuddalore District within the jurisdiction of the respondent herein pursuant to the petitioner's application dated 19.05.2015.

ORDER

By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2.The petitioner claims that he is the absolute owner of the land measuring an extent of 4524 sq. feet with the superstructure comprised in Survey No.57/1, Putheri Village, Thittakudi Taluk, Cuddalore District. It is further stated by the petitioner that his mother viz., Karupayee filed a suit in O.S. No.101 of 1985 on the file of Sub Court, Vridhachalam for partition and separate possession and a compromise decree dated 23.08.1995 came to be passed and consequently, the property was allotted to the petitioner. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted an application dated 19.05.2015 praying for issuance of patta. Since no response is forthcoming, he came forward to file this writ petition. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3.Heard the submissions of Mr.C.Muruganandam, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

4.Though the petitioner prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the representation, directs the respondent to consider the application/representation in accordance with law, after putting on notice, the persons concerned and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as the persons concerned. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
