Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a direction in the nature of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, (i) to quash the gazette Notification bearing No.3/2016 dated 08.01.2016 issued by the third respondent and (ii) direct respondents to redraw the panel of the Deputy Tahsildar for the year 2015 as per the Rule of Reservation enshrined in Rule 6 of the Special Rules for Tamil Nadu Revenue Subordinate service and as per the directions of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in Civil Appeal Nos.251 to 256 of 2015 dated 12.03.2019 by giving preference to the petitioner as a Graduate Direct Recruit Assistant and after to issue fresh Notification for the panel of Tahsildars and (iii) Any other consequential order or directions as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper to the circumstances of the case. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the prayer sought for in this writ petition has become infructuous since the petitioner got 2/4

promoted as Tahsildar, and he has also made an endorsement to that effect in the case bundle.

2. In view of the submission coupled with the endorsement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ petition stands dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
