Respondent Petition filed under Article 226 of The Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 01.06.2015 and make necessary changes in the revenue accounts/records with respect to petitioner's land comprised in S.F.No.162, Korattur Village, Ambattur Taluk, Tiruvallur District over an extent of 93 cents pursuant to the order of the Assistant Settlement Officer, Tiruvannamalai in Mu.Mu.No.B2/985/2000 dated 26.07.2000.

ORDER

By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2.The petitioner would submit that as per the proceedings of the Assistant Settlement Officer, Thiruvannamalai in Mu.Mu.No.B2/985/2000 dated 26.07.2000, the land measuring an extent of 0.93 cents in S.F.No.162 Korattur Village, Ambattur Taluk, has been changed from "Odai Poramboke" to "Ryotwari Punja" in favour of the petitioner. The petitioner, on an earlier occasion, approached this Court and filed W.P.No.10799 of 2005 and this Court, vide order dated 31.03.2005, has directed the respondent https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

herein to pass appropriate orders in accordance with law. Since the said order has not been complied with, the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 01.06.2015. Though it was acknowledged on the same day, no orders have been passed and hence he came forward to file this writ petition.

3.Heard the submissions of Mr.M.Muthappan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.Rm.Muthukumar, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

4.This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, without going into the merits of the same, directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 01.06.2015 in accordance with law, after putting no notice the persons concerned and pass orders within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as the persons concerned. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
