ORDER
The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner on 29.09.2015, in the light of the Board proceeding issued by B.P. (Chairman) No.9, Administrative Branch, dated 09.01.2008.
2. The writ petitioner states that he was employed as a Contract Worker on 01.12.2005 and he was continuously working as a contract labour. The Constitution Committee has submitted a report recommending the case of the contract labourers for permanent absorption. Pursuant to the recommendations, the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board also issued Board proceedings fixing certain terms and conditions for extending the benefit of permanent absorption. Contract labourers were engaged by the private contractors with whom the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board entered into an agreement for the purpose of executing the works https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
of the Electricity Board. Under these circumstances, a list of eligible candidates were prepared and accordingly, the benefit of permanent absorption was granted. The grievance of the petitioner is that his case was not considered with reference to the Board proceeding issued in B.P. (Chairman) No.9, Administrative Branch, dated 09.01.2008.
3. Under these circumstances, the respondent or the competent authority authorised by the respondent to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner on 29.09.2015 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petitioner is directed to enclose the copy of the representation and all other relevant documents to establish that he was employed and was working as a contract labour along with the order passed in the present writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
