Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 02.02.2015 for an appointment to the post of cook in Adi Dravidar and Scheduled Tribes Hostels under the control of the first respondent. 3. The prayer in the writ petition lies in a narrow compass. The petitioners have registered their names in the 3rd respondent Employment Exchange for the post of Cook. They made representation dated 02.02.2015 to the first respondent to fill up the vacancies to the post of Cooks in the Adi-Dravidar and Scheduled Tribes Hostels for School Students.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioners has sought for a direction to the first respondent to pass orders on the representation of the petitioners, on merits and in accordance with law, within a stipulated time.

5. In view of the narrow prayer made, the first respondent is directed to pass orders on the representation of the petitioners dated 02.02.2015, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
