Prayer:Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to transfer me from District Social Welfare, Chennai to District Social Welfare Office, Thoothukudi pursuant to the petitioner's representation dated 19.03.2022 within a time frame fixed by this Court.

By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 2.This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus, to direct the respondent to transfer the petitioner from District Social Welfare Office, Chennai to District Social Welfare Office, Thoothukudi pursuant to the petitioner's representation dated 19.03.2022 within a time frame fixed by this Court.

3.The case of the petitioner in brief:

The petitioner herein was working as Assistant in District Social Welfare Office, Thoothukudi and she was transferred to District Social Welfare Office Chennai on 24.01.2022. Further, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the petitioner's husband was died on 04.11.2022 and she is having one daughter who is studying 1st year B.Com., Computer Science in Thoothukudi. Therefore, considering the said background of the family circumstances, she made a representation to the respondent on 19.03.2022 to transfer the petitioner from Chennai to Thoothukudi. But, the said representation is pending, no action has been taken. Hence, she filed this writ petition before this Court for the aforesaid prayer.

4.Mr.T.Chezhiyan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submitted that the said representation of the petitioner will be considered by the authorities concerned on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame as fixed by this court.

5.In view of the above submissions and also considering the limited scope of prayer sought for in the instant writ petition, without expressing any opinion on merits, this Court is inclined direct the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 19.03.2022 and to pass orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, as early as possible, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
