Petition filed under Article 226 of The Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent authority to give permission to conduct the cultural dance programme on Temple car festival on 02.07.2015 at Sri Mariamman Kovil, V.Mannarpalayam, Valapady Taluk, Salem District. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2.The petitioner claims to be a member of the organising committee which is conducting temple festival of Arulmigu Mariamman Temple of V.Mannarpalayam, Valapady Taluk, Salem District. He submitted an application on 23.06.2015 praying for permission to conduct song and dance programme and since he has not been favoured with any response, he came forward to file this writ petition.

3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that in the event of permission being granted to conduct and song and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

dance programme, there will not be any law and order problem and no vulgarity or obscenity will be there and hence, prays for appropriate orders.

4.Heard the submissions of Mr.C.Mahendran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent. 4.This Court, without going into merits of the representation/application, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation/application dated 23.06.2015 in accordance with law and pass orders on or before 30.06.2015 and inform the decision taken, to the petitioner. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
