The petitioner is the wife of the respondent. The respondent filed HMOP No.6 of 2014 on the file of Subordinate Court, Ponneri.

2. The petitioner has filed the above Transfer C.M.P. to withdraw H.M.O.P.No.6 of 2014 from the file of Subordinate Court, Ponneri and to transfer the same to the file of Subordinate Court, Chengalpet, for being tried along with M.C.No.11 of 2014 filed by the petitioner.

3. It is well settled that in Matrimonial disputes, the preference would be given to wife in the place of hearing.

4. Considering the same and also in view of section 19(iii-a) of the Hindu Marriage Act, H.M.O.P. may be tried at the place where the wife resides.

5. In these circumstances, I direct for withdrawal of H.M.O.P.No.6 of 2014 from the file of Subordinate Judge, Ponneri and to transfer the same to the file of Subordinate Court, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
