This application is filed praying for a direction, directing the respondents to process the applications submitted by the students of Arya Vysya Community for scholarship, lying with the respondents 1 and 2 as on date from the fund created in the name of Rao Bahadur Thiru V.Vengadathan Chetty-Uppathoor Thiruvengadathan Chetty Charities and Trust and disburse the scholarship amount to the students within two weeks and to publish the notification calling for the applications for grant of scholarship and disburse the scholarship amount to the students every year for the entire course without insisting for fresh application every year.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that some students were given scholarship for the first year and second year and they are bound to get scholarship for the third year and fourth year also. The learned Administrator General and Official Trustee of Tamilnadu (A.G & O.T.) is insisting for publication of the notification by the second respondent even for sanction of scholarship to the candidates who have already sanctioned scholarship for the previous years. The contention is that the course in which the students are undergoing being professional courses and if the said course is for a period of

jvm more than one year, their eligibility to get scholarship is already verified and no further verification is required for continuing the grant of scholarship for subsequent years.

In such a view of the matter, the learned A.G. & O.T. is directed to scrutinize the applications of the students for grant of scholarship for the subsequent years and sanction the scholarship to the eligible students for the year 2013-2014 within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The second respondent is also directed to get permission to effect publication for every year for the sanction of scholarship to new students, immediately after the admissions are over in professional colleges. The learned A.G. & O.T. is also directed to pay the amount for the publication to be made in future.
