This case came up for settlement before the lok adalat. Mr.S.Arunkumar, counsel for the appellant and Mr.K.Suryanaranyanan, Counsel for the second respondent are present.
TERMS OF SETTLEMENT The claim petition was filed by the parents of the deceased Tamilselvan, in the Chief Court of Small Causes which passed an award of Rs.15,88,000/- on 12.10.17. Before the award was passed the mother/ first claimant expired. Now the father alone is the
Legal heir of the deceased. The Death Certificate of the mother/ first claimant has been produced and it is recorded. Therefore the father alone is entitled to the settled amount of Rs.18,50,000/- before this Forum. Award is accordingly passed. Father is permitted to withdraw the entire settled amount the sum of Rs.18,50,000/-. The time for deposit the balance amount. 2.The Tribunal is directed to transfer the amount through RTGS/NEFT to the party concerned on proper identification in accordance with the terms of the award, without insisting on any formal permission petition. The Civil Miscellaneous Appeal is disposed of accordingly. The connected miscellaneous petition is closed, if any.
