ORDER
This Civil Revision Petition is filed to give direction to dispose the petition in O.P.No.3349 of 2013 on the file of I Additional Family Court, Chennai.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and perused the materials available on record.
3. The petitioner and respondent are the petitioner and respondent in O.P.No.3349 of 2013 on the file of the I Additional Family Court, Chennai. The petitioner and respondent are husband and wife. The petitioner filed the said O.P for divorce against the respondent on the ground of desertion and cruelty. The respondent had already filed an O.P.No.1719 of 2012 on the file of I Additional Family Court at Chennai for divorce on the ground of cruelty. In the said O.P., the petitioner filed counter statement on 03.08.2012 stating that he has no objection for granting divorce, but denied the allegation on cruelty. Both the cases were posted for trial since 05.10.2012. Subsequently, from that date, the respondent is not cooperating in conducting the trial and is unnecessarily dragging on the proceedings. Now, both the original petitions are transferred to V Additional Family Court, Chennai and are pending trial. In the circumstances, the petitioner seeks for direction to dispose both the O.P.Nos. 1719 of 2012 and 3349 of 2013 .
4. Considering the above facts, the V Additional Family Court Judge, Chennai, is directed to dispose both the O.P.Nos.1719 of 2012 and 3349 of 2013 as expeditiously as possible in any event not later than three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this Civil Revision petition is disposed of. No costs.
