ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the office of the Joint Commissioner of Police, Chennai North Zone to take action in the petitioner's complaint cum representation dated 05.01.2018 by invoking the power vested u/s 36 of the Code.

The petitioner lodged complaint on 29.08.2017 before B4- High Court Campus Police Station and the same has been kept pending without registering the same. Hence, the petitioner sent representation dated 05.01.2018 to the respondent. However after receipt of the same the respondent did not take any steps to conduct any enquiry. Therefore, the petitioner filed this present petition with the above said prayer. 3.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent submitted that on receipt of the complaint dated 29.08.2017, the concerned officer conducted detailed enquiry as early as on 05.09.2017 and closed the complaint on the same day. Therefore, no complaint is pending on the file of the respondent.

In view of the above submission, the prayer sought for in this petition is devoid of merits and the Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
