PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 3 and 4 to provide police protection to the petitioners to carry out fishing operation in the Aalapuram lake as per the request made by the 1st respondent in Letter in Na.Ka.No.2077/E/2019 dated 02.03.2021 and to take action against the miscreants on the complaint of the petitioners dated 03.03.2021.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed directing the respondents 3 and 4 to provide police protection to carry out fishing operation in the Aalapuram lake as per the request made by the 1st respondent in letter in Na.Ka.No.2077/E/2019 https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

dated 2.3.2021 and to take action against the miscreants on the complaint of the petitioners dated 3.3.2021.

2. Admittedly, the petitioners were granted license by the Public Works Department for fishing in the pond. Now, the petitioners apprehend that the third parties are creating problem in order to execute the rights which were granted to them. Such view of the matter, this Court is of the view that it is a fit case to issue a direction to the respondents 3 and 4 to give necessary protection as and when required by the petitioner in carrying out fishing operation in the Aalapuram lake.

3. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
