O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus, seeking a direction against the respondents to consider the revision petition filed by the petitioner dated 27.11.2024 under Section 153 of the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies Act. The said revision petition is to be examined and disposed of by the second respondent, the Joint Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Cuddalore Region, Cuddalore District.
2.In the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition, it had been stated that the petitioner initially joined as an Assistant in the Cuddalore District Central Co-operative Bank. He was subsequently promoted to Assistant Manager, and later to Manager. It had been further stated that a transaction involving a sum of Rs. 2,48,000/- was carried out with the prior permission of the Managing Director, in favour of Bavani Traders, for the purchase of materials. However, despite this, action was taken against the petitioner. The petitioner contends that a proper show cause notice was not issued to him. An Enquiry Officer was appointed 2/4
and the petitioner was placed under suspension. Ultimately, he was dismissed from service. Challenging this dismissal, the petitioner filed a revision petition, which is to be considered by the second respondent. 3.A direction is issued to the second respondent to examine the said revision petition and pass appropriate orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.The writ petition stands disposed of.
