Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.04.2018 made to the respondent, and consequently direct the respondent to grant permission to the petitioner in order to conduct the cultural programme for the said programme which is schedule to be held on 10.05.2018 at about 7.00 p.m, situated at Arulmigu Shree Mariamman Temple, Nazhikkalpatty Post, Salem Taluk and District.

ORDER

The petitioner seeks a mandamus to direct the respondent to grant permission to conduct cultural program to be held on 10.05.2018 at about 7.00 p.m, situated at Arulmigu Shree Mariamman Temple, Nazhikkalpatty Post, Salem Taluk and District, by considering his representation dated 25.04.2018. 2.Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as Mr.J.Ramesh, learned Additional Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent. 3.This petition has been filed seeking permission to conduct cultural program in public place. Such permissions are usually granted, subject to the peace and tranquility in the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

locality/village where such program is supposed to be conducted. Also, the antecedents and locus of the person who seeks permission matters. These facts can be gone into only by the local Police.

4.Hence, this Court is not inclined to entertain this writ petition. It is always open to the petitioner to approach the respondent police and if it is conducive,the authority concerned/respondent police shall grant permission to conduct such cultural program subject to reasonable restriction. 5.The writ petition stands disposed of with the above observation. No costs.
