Respondents Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to pass order on the appeal dated 18.01.2017 made by the petitioner within a time limit that may be stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.

ORDER
The petitioner, having suffered an order of punishment dated 25.11.2016, namely, stoppage of increment for three years with cumulative effect for the proven charges, has filed an appeal on 18.1.2017 before the first respondent/appellate authority. As the petitioner has got a better chance of success before the appellate authority, he seeks for expeditious disposal of the pending appeal.
2. Mr.P.Sanjay Gandhi, learned Additional Government Pleader, taking notice on behalf of the respondents, sought for reasonable time to dispose of the pending appeal on merits.
3. Recording his statement, this Court hereby directs the first respondent/appellate authority to consider the appeal https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
filed by the petitioner on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
