PRAYER: Petition filed Under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of Writ of Certiorari calling for the entire records in pursuant to the demand of Rs.35,104/- towards "CC Charges" and Rs.1,09,488/- towards "CC Arrears" made in Electricity Bill receipt No.AC 8926170 dated 24.07.2018 issued by the respondent office and quash the same.

ORDER

This writ petition is filed for issuance of a writ of certiorari to quash the demand of Rs.35,104/- towards "CC Charges" and Rs.1,09,488/- towards "CC Arrears" made in Electricity Bill receipt No.AC 8926170 dated 24.07.2018 issued by the respondent office.

2. Though the petitioner has challenged the payment raised by the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has filed grievance petition before the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum and the same may be directed to be disposed of.

3. The learned standing counsel appearing for the respondent does not dispute the request made by the petitioner.

4. In the light of the limited relief sought for by the petitioner, this Court without going into the merits of the case permits the petitioner to send a copy of this order along with a copy of the complaint to the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum. Upon receipt of a copy of this 2/4

order and a copy of the complaint, the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum is directed to consider and dispose of the same after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner in accordance with law within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the complaint.

5. This writ petition is disposed of as above. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
