Respondents Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to include the name of the petitioner in the panel of the year 1995 for promotion to the post of Constable Grade I in accordance with his original seniority and consequently include the name of the petitioner in the panel for the year 2000 for promotion to the post of Head Constable and accordingly promote him in the respective posts, retrospective effect from the date on which his immediate junior was promoted with full monetary benefits, arrears of pay and other consequential service benefits.
