Respondents Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 29.05.2015 submitted by the petitioners for extending the benefit of payment of special allowance in the cadre of B.T.Assistant and to pass orders thereon on merits within a time limit that may be specified by this Court. ORDER

The petitioners were appointed as Secondary Grade Teachers. Now all are working as B.T.Assistants. Accordingly, they are entitled to special allowance as per G.O.Ms.No.270, Finance Department, dated 26.08.2010 and G.O.Ms.No.23, Finance Department dated 12.01.2011. The petitioners made individual representation dated 29.05.2015 to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the respondents to grant them special allowance as per the aforesaid Government Orders. Since no order is passed, they are before this Court with this Writ Petition.

Considering the narrow prayer made in the writ petition, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the 1st respondent is directed to consider the individual representation of the petitioners dated 29.05.2015 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law and also in the light of the G.O.Ms.No.270, Finance Department, dated 26.08.2010 and G.O.Ms.No.23, Finance Department dated 12.01.2011, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.
