Respondents Prayer:-Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to count half of the service rendered by the petitioner as Village Karnam on 20.04.1977 to 20.07.1977, 14.02.1978 to 15.08.1978 and 03.12.1978 to 03.02.1979 and 15.08.1979 to 14.11.1980 as qualifying service for pension along with his regular service in the post of Junior Assistant and Assistant in the Department of Agriculture Engineering and Agriculture Department and accordingly, revise his pension and other pensionary benefits and all consequential service and monetary benefits.

ORDER

1.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal and disposed of by this order.

Mr.C.Kathiravan, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3.

This writ petition has been filed seeking mandamus, to direct the respondents to count half of the service rendered by the petitioner as Village Karnam during various periods, along with the service rendered by him as Junior Assistant and Assistant in the Department of Agriculture.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that though the petitioner had prayed for a larger relief, the petitioner would be satisfied if a direction is issued to the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.01.2019 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

The Court heard the submissions of the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 3. 6.

Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, this Court, considering the submissions now made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation dated 07.01.2019, directs the 1st respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 07.01.2019 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner herein.

The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
