ORDER
[Made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to produce the petitioner's son Vishwabalaji, aged about 17 years by person or body before this Court and hand over to the petitioner.

It is the case of the petitioner that his son Vishwabalaji, aged about 17 years, who is studying XII standard at Peralam Government Higher Secondary School, went missing from 28.03.2022 and thereafter, his whereabouts are not known.

Today, T.Veerpandian (Mobile No.94981 65376), Special Sub-Inspector of Police, Perambur Police Station, Mayiladuthurai District, is present.

On instructions, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on a complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Perambur Police Station Crime No.163 of 2022 has been registered on 05.04.2022 for 'boy missing' and investigation is in progress.
In such view of the matter, this habeas corpus petition stands closed with a direction to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mayiladuthurai Sub-Division, Mayiladuthurai District, to supervise the investigation in Perambur Police Station Crime No.163 of 2022 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any. As and when the detenu Vishwabalaji, aged about 17 years, is secured, he shall be produced before the Judicial Magistrate Court, Tharangambadi, Mayiladuthurai District, under intimation to the petitioner.
