The prayer sought for herein is to extend the time period for completion of the arbitration proceedings and the passing of the award by a further period of six months.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the applicant as well as the learned counsel for the respondents. According to the learned counsel for the parties, the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal expired on 12.03.2019, thereafter six months extension, by the consent of both sides can be asked for, however due to some unavoidable reasons, the same was not made, therefore the applicant was constrained to approach this Court to file this application.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the respondents also, who has submitted that within such period of the mandate of the Arbitrator, pleadings have been completed and it is in the stage of filing the proof affidavit by the applicant.

4. Considering the said factual matrix of the case made by the learned counsel appearing for both sides, this Court is inclined to extend the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal for the further period of one year from 12.03.2019, within which period, it is expected that the http://www.judis.nic.in
