Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to commence the implementation of the Act 13 of 2006 in a phased manner on all Government Schools, local body Schools and Matriculation Schools starting from 1st Standard from the academic year 2015-2016 and thereafter in a progressive manner so that the 10th Standard students of all Government Schools, local body schools and Matriculation Schools will write exams in Tamil compulsorily in the academic year 2024-2025 like all other CBSE students (as per G.O. Ms.No.145, School Education (ERT), 18/09/2014); or in the alternative, exempt all the 10th Standard students (students writing Public Examinations) also from coming under the purview of the Act 13 of 2006, so that Tamil is implemented only for the Students from standard 1st to 9th only in order to see to that the academic career is not affected on the verge of their Public Examination and that of the present stream of education.

2.Writ Petition is, thus, dismissed with the aforesaid observation. No costs.
